Karl Pilkington An Idiot Abroad in Egypt Poster

An Idiot Abroad print

A poster showing the channel it is on and who the main character and what it is about. It also has a website so the audience can find out more information. The title tells the audience that the man on the poster is an idiot. The character has a stupid look on his face and is dressed casually. It reinforces the audience’s perception of the person on the poster as an idiot. That also means that there will be comedy in the TV show. It shows him abroad in Egypt in front of the pyramids not looking very happy being in a place where many people go to enjoy a holiday. It makes it look like he is out of his comfort zone. The audience will find that funny because it looks like he does not enjoy travelling abroad and will struggle with it.

It is a simple design so it is easy to look at and understand. Our poster will also be simple so the audience do not get too confused about what is going on.

Karl Pilkington in An Idiot Abroad: Sky 1 Trailer

An idiot abroad

An Idiot Abroad is a British travel documentary television series broadcast on Sky1. It was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and starring Karl Pilkington. The ongoing theme of the television series is that Pilkington has no interest in global travel so Merchant and Gervais make him travel while they stay in the United Kingdom and monitor his progress. It is a comedy travel documentary reality TV series.

The British Karl Pilkington has not done any travelling, he enjoys living within the comforts of what he knows. His friends Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant decide to send Karl to various parts of the world to experience unfamiliar cultures. Stephen believes that travel is a life broadening venture and hopes that Karl will indeed feel like his life is enriched by these travels. Ricky however hopes that Karl will hate every minute of his travels.

The main character of the reality TV show will be travelling around the UK. They will also express their views on what is happening and what they think about the place. That will feel like he is communicating to the audience.

Ross Nobles Freewheeling Trailer

Ross Noble will be hosting his own show on Dave titled Freewheeling. The show is described as an anti travelogue around Britain. Noble takes the freestyle philosophy he embraces in his live shows and utilizes his trademark audience participation gimmick and transfers it to television as he rides around the UK on his motorbike. Ross Noble is taking live requests on Twitter instructing him on where he should go next making the road trip entirely unpredictable. Ross Noble Freewheeling is a modern comedy documentary that uses social media and is it not a traditional travel show.

The main character will be doing challenges along the way to keep the audience interested. The challenges will have comedy in them to make the audience laugh. The programme will show how the character is not very intelligent and that he fails to the amusement of the audience.

Top Gear

Top Gear is a British television show about motor vehicles, primarily cars, and is the world's most widely watched factual television programme. It began in 1977 as a conventional motoring magazine show. Over time, and especially since a relaunch in 2002, it has developed a quirky, humorous and sometimes controversial style. The show is currently presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and has featured at least three different test drivers known as The Stig. The programme is broadcast on BBC Two. It has a mostly male audience.

The reality TV show will feature a person on a moped travelling around. There will be similar shots to Top Gear and it has a bit of motoring in the reality TV show as well.
